STart Crypto Call To Artists: Capture Change
Within our daily lives, interactions, policies, and the seasons; Change is a salient, powerful theme now more than ever. This is why we’re centering our latest art showcase around the idea of change.
We are putting a call out to all STart Crypto artists to create an artwork that reflects change and what it means to each of you personally, and for STart Crypto collectors to weigh in on which pieces impact them the most.
What does change mean to you? What does it look like? How does it feel?
Change looks different for all of us, and we hope the submissions are reflective of this.
Selected submissions will be showcased in our upcoming Change Art Showcase. The community will vote on their favorite piece which will receive a special promotion, along with some other exciting prizes (see below!)
How To Participate As a Artists
Artists, you will have the chance to:
- Amplify your exposure and get your artwork in front of new eyes
- Create a meaningful artwork inspired by the current times
- Discover and promote the works of other creators
We have some awesome prizes lined up including the chance to win $Whale, ETH, and a special promotion (see The Prize section below for more details)
The contest starts today, June 8th.
Here’s what you need to do to submit:
PUBLISH
- Publish a 1/1 edition in your STart Crypto store
- You may set a price
- Whip out your story telling skills to create a description that pulls your audience in
- Please refrain from including “created for the Change Showcase” or similar in your description as that can date your work and can decrease its value
- One submission per artist, and collaborations are okay! (you will split the prize 50–50)
PROMOTE
- Post your STart Crypto art link in the #change-showcase channel of our Discord or on Twitter (Or both!)
- Gain more votes and long-term fans by promoting your work on all your social media channels using the hashtags #Change, #RareDigitalArt and #STart CryptoCo
- Encourage your followers to BID, BUY, LIKE, COMMENT, and FOLLOW to increase your chance of winning
DEADLINES
- Submissions open starting June 8th until 11:59 PST on June 18th
- Select artworks will be showcased and voting takes place from June 19th — 23rd. Artists can vote for their favorite pieces from other creators, please no voting for yourself.
How To Participate As a Collector
The community, including collectors, will be weighing in to help us select the winner.
Collectors, you will have the chance to:
- Discover new artworks and artists
- Add one of a kind, meaningful creations to your collections
- Strengthen your relationships with your favorite artists
- Support artists and the rare digital art community
- Win credit to put towards your next art purchase
To vote for your favorite artworks, collectors (and artists) should…
FIND
- Discover the creations on STart Crypto by going to our website and searching #MakersofChange
- Also discover submissions by searching #Change, #RareDigitalArt and #STart CryptoCo on Discord or Twitter
ENGAGE
- Vote for a piece by liking, commenting, sharing, bidding, or buying the artwork (directly on STart Crypto). You can also follow the artist and share their work on social media
DEADLINES
- Voting will take place from June 19th to June 23rd at 5PM PST
- A winner will be selected based on accumulated bids, buys, follows, comments, and likes they receive/give
How To Win
A winning artist will be selected based on the cumulative number of engagements their artwork receives
A winning collector will be selected based on the cumulative number of engagements they contribute
Engagements will be ranked in the following order from largest to smallest impact on the winning selection:
- Bidding or Buying the Artwork
- Following The Artist on STart Crypto
- Sharing Favorite Creations on Social Media
- High Quality Comments (I love this piece because …)
- Liking The Artwork (on STart Crypto or Social Media)
The Prize
Participating in the showcase means more eyes on your work, more connections and more impact, basically the recipe for success… But if that’s not enough, we’ve also got some pretty sweet prizes lined up.
The artist who receives the most positive engagement on their piece will receive:
- 500 $Whale — $Whale is a new social currency that can be used to buy NFTs on a number of platforms. Thank you to WhaleShark for the generous donation!
- .25 ETH (~$60) STart Crypto credit — You can put this towards purchasing an artwork
- A special feature + promotional campaign launched by the STart Crypto team — Including a blog post and promotion across our social channels
The collector who contributes the most positive engagement will receive:
