I forced urban brutalism to meet with surrealism. I've been conflicted with brutalism as an aesthetic genre. Surrealism is interesting, mysterious, intriguing. Brutalism is ugly, aggressive, grey. I didn't care. I just wanted to create it. And the final artwork transported my mind to familiar directions: I saw a dystopian dump site like that of the film "Idiocracy". I saw a dust storm passing through a planet filled with scrap metal and debris. I saw the work of Ed Burtynsky on electronic wastes (i.e. e-waste) in a futuristic, post-apocalyptic context.
