Tyson Parks is an American Artist and Technologist specializing in programming, 3D modeling/sculpting/animation, interactive installation, video, sound and performance. Lives in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Works and exhibits internationally.
Heavily influenced by Edwin A Abbot's seminal novel Flatland, his work explores theoretical and imagined notions of visual perception within different n-dimensional realities in relation to renditions of perspective and light through art historical painting, cinematic language, and particularly abstract sculpture. Tyson's morphing digital sculptures present a utopically kinetic and illusory vision of potentially real art objects that could exist in an evolved future that is unhindered by the current static laws of gravity, mass, matter and limitations of human visual perception.
