"Dragon Orb" a 3D Fractal Art piece I’ve created back in 2016 is a Spaced Painter classic, one of my most popular pieces of all time and a very dear one to myself.
I’ve created it fully within fractal software through a two step render process: during the first step I’ve created the dragon’s/lovers’ den and dragon head / phallic-head-overlord-character at the top and dragon-like fractalized figures we see mirrored in the background – I’ve created these through painstaking small incremental adjustments of the mathematical fractal code and experimenting with light maps for hours on end until I could achieve the desired result; through the second render step I’ve introduced the orb over which the rest of the scene was projected and that, by the unfathomable magic of the creation process, ended up depicting what appears to be a dragon in it’s glorious flight into the mysterious mathematical wonders of Fractaland. No other post work or edit had been used whatsoever, all the above was done within the same fractal software.
For the first time I am making the original ultra HQ master file of "Dragon Orb" accessible and at the insanely high resolution of 7000 x 9800 which is perfect for large scale display as well as high quality large printing (personal use only) - Available as single edition to one collector who will forever own a piece of Spaced Painter history.
