This creation is a tribute to healthcare workers in the COVID-19 pandemic, they're working endlessly, even at night, to protect and save everyone. The paper cranes hung on the wall is a symbol of peace, love, healing & hope during challenging times. It's often given to a person who's seriously ill, to wish for their recovery. I chose yellow for the paper cranes, as yellow symbolizes hope, happiness, positivity, encouragement, and energy. A reminder for everyone to stay positive in the midst of pandemic.
Hospitals have put in place strict no-visitation rules meant to prevent the spread of COVID-19, but these precautions have led to another heart-wrenching dilemma. Most patients are dying alone, gasping their last breath in hospital rooms without any family or friends there to provide comfort, there are only strangers at the bedside during their last breaths.
My deepest sympathies and condolences go out to people who lost their loved ones due to COVID-19. I'm praying for the recovery of all patients, and I want to express my gratitude to all frontliners for their selfless hard work and effort to help the country in this pandemic.
