It was April of 2019, and the cherry blossom trees started blooming all over my neighborhood in Brooklyn. Their pink hue offers one of the most visually-satisfying additions to the city architecture, which largely inspired this piece. Each time I look at this, it reminds me of spring (my favorite season), and gives me something to look forward to especially after the long winter months full of grey skies and melancholy. The river of spheres was meant to be a sort of moving focal point, embraced by the soft cherry blossom trees.
